Blackburn Rovers are plotting a sensational move for AC Milan star Ronaldinho, after the Serie A side confirmed he could leave. (Daily Mirror)

Rovers could offer the Brazilian midfielder as much as £130,000/week to move to Ewood Park, although they face competition for his signature.

Brazilian side Gremio are also said to be interested, along with several other English clubs - whose identity is being kept secret by Ronaldinho's agent.

New Blackburn owners Venky's see Ronaldinho as the ideal way to make a statement of ambition for the club.

Meanwhile, Bolton are said to be keen on Arsenal striker Carlos Vela. (Daily Mail)

Bolton boss Owen Coyle is keen on a loan deal for the Mexican star in the January window.

Arsenal may see the move as a chance to give Vela some experience.
