The Firing Line: Hammer time? Avram Grant continues to struggle in the Hammers hot seat
That gap is getting bigger for West Ham. Three games unbeaten is not enough to stop them falling further off the pace as they now sit five points away from safety.[LNB]Avram Grant has been given the vote of confidence but how long can has he got? Just one win in 13 games is an abysmal record and barring some sort of minor miracle at Liverpool, it is set to become one in 14.[LNB]Mind you it seems a miracle in itself that Grant is still at the helm of the Hammers and Roy Hodgson is not as high as three on the list for no reason.[LNB] Thumbs up for now: But will defeat at Anfield be one too many for Avram Grant?[LNB]But he is not along when it comes to pressure, recent results have seen Roberto Mancini come under fire at Manchester City. One thing is for sure if he starts drawing too many games like Grant he will be facing the same exit door as his predecessor Mark Hughes. Chelsea next. UP ONE[LNB][LNB][LNB][LNB]7Newcastle - Chris Hughton Recent home from is among the worse in the league but Hughton has his side sitting pretty in the top-half and that should be enough to impress his superiorsfor now. DOWN THREE[LNB][LNB]8Blackburn- Sam Allardyce Unlucky to lose in the fashion they did at Tottenham after two straight wins. Another defeat though will see Big Sam's side slip back into a relegation fight. Wolves next. Signing 37-year-old wingers is not an orthodox move either. Could even see his young Gunners top by the end of the weekend.
