El-Hadji Diouf was offloaded by Sunderland [LNB]to Blackburn [LNB]yesterday after a furious dressing-room bust-up in which he threatened to 'do' teammate Anton Ferdinand.[LNB]The controversial 28-year-old flew into a rage after Tuesday night's 1-0 home win over Fulham [LNB]and stunned team-mates with a tirade against Ferdinand. It is understood that Diouf made disparaging remarks about the Sunderland side soon after the finalwhistle and claimed he could not work out how he had been left out by manager Ricky Sbragia.[LNB]Ferdinand evidently responded by suggesting it was a reflection of his own shortcomings and Diouf immediately launched himself at the former West Ham[LNB]centre back.[LNB] Best of enemies: Ferdinand and Diouf[LNB] According to Sunderland insiders, the notoriously hot-headed striker 'lost it completely' and threatened Ferdinand with physical harm by warning him: 'I'll do you.'[LNB] Manchester City to splash £45m on Cruz, Given and Toure[LNB]Diouf leaves Sunderland and joins up with Allardyce again at Blackburn[LNB]BLACKBURN ROVERS FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE WEB [LNB]SUNDERLAND FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE WEB [LNB][LNB]Sunderland had resisted an earlier Blackburn bid for Diouf but had a change of heart after the midweek altercation and were said to be relieved at seeing the £2.8million deal go through.[LNB]Remarkably, it is not the first time he has squared up to a team-mate and caused ructions at the club. After a recent heavy defeat, Sbragia claimed some players were not giving their all.[LNB]Midfielder Andy Reid pointed the finger at Diouf and Djibril Cisse. Both confronted Reid in a bust-up that is believed to have come to blows.[LNB]Diouf has now followed Pascal Chimbonda, another player whose conduct has been questioned, out of the door and it is understood Sunderland will be concentrating any future recruitment drive on British players. [LNB]Even Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce hinted there may have been trouble behind the scenes involving Diouf, but stressed he would not tolerate any indiscipline.[LNB]'I don't want him getting into problems like he's had in the past,' said Allardyce, who worked with the forward at Bolton. 'I know how frustrated he gets when he is not playing.[LNB]Time to act: Ricky Sbragia got rid of Diouf after trouble brewed[LNB] He can be difficult, but if you want talented players, they can't always be angels. I know what makes him tick.'[LNB]The visit of Sunderland tomorrow will attract Newcastle [LNB]owner Mike Ashley back to St James' Park. It is his first appearance there since Kevin Keegan's departure.[LNB]It is potentially the biggest clash between the rivals since the 1990 playoff semi-final, with both desperately fighting for their Barclays Premier League survival — and Ashley's  presence is certain to add to a powder-keg atmosphere.[LNB]But fresh from signing Bolton [LNB]captain Kevin Nolan for £4.5million, Ashley has finally been convinced it is safe to return to watch the club he has tried in vain to sell for more than six months. [LNB]Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear said: 'Coming back, seeing matches and being back in the fold may change things. He has lost a hell of a lot of money both in business and this club and that has not helped matters, but he will be here for sure. [LNB]'The crowd will be on the team's side irrespective of individuals and this is a game where they have to be a 12th man, irrespective of what they think of me or Mike or anyone else. It is about what happens on the pitch.' [LNB]Nolan was stunned by the speed of his departure from the Reebok, saying: 'People said I was Mr Bolton. I grew up there, made my name there, wanted the best for the club, but I want the same here. I want to be a big success as a Newcastle player. It's mad, but I can't really explain how good it is to have a Newcastle shirt on. From whatI have seen so far, we'll be OK.'[LNB] Manchester City to splash £45m on Cruz, Given and Toure[LNB]Diouf leaves Sunderland and joins up with Allardyce again at Blackburn[LNB]BLACKBURN ROVERS FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE WEB [LNB]SUNDERLAND FC NEWS FROM ACROSS THE WEB [LNB][LNB] [LNB]
