Lee Cattermole has a few midfield hurdles to negotiate before he achieves what Steve Bruce believes could be his football destiny in the white shirt of England.
'He's only 21 and there's a bit of competition for him in the shape of Frank Lampard and Stevie Gerrard, but for me he was England's best player in the European Under-21 tournament,' said the Sunderland manager. 'I think he has a great future.'
