Steve Kean delighted with Bruno Ribeiro

Blackburn boss Steve Kean says new signing Bruno Ribeiro has been compared to Denis Irwin by his team-mates because he never gives the ball away.[LNB]The Brazilian right-back, who most recently played for Gremio Prudente back home, has been on trial with Kean's side during pre-season.[LNB]He has impressed the Blackburn boss enough to be offered a contract with the player set to complete his free transfer this week once he has received clearance from the FA.[LNB] Running the rule: Rovers boss Steve Kean is still looking to sign more new players[LNB]And Kean says Ribeiro has drawn comparisons with former Manchester United defender, Irwin. 'Bruno, or Denis after Denis Irwin the boys call him because he never gives the ball away, will fill in that position and that is great for us,' Kean told the Lancashire Telegraph. [LNB] Rovers have also been linked with Serbian midfielder Radosav Petrovic and PAOK Salonika's Portuguese winger Vieirinha.[LNB]And Kean has admitted he hopes to sign a striker and midfielder before this Saturday's Premier League opener against Wolves.[LNB]'We are still looking for another striker and another midfield player as well, we are active and we are out there,' said Kean.
