Spurs sparkle down rainbow Lane

Harry Redknapp wouldn't have worn them and Wolves boss Mick McCarthy certainly wouldn't have approved.

But Redknapp's Tottenham players played with more than a little artistry to dazzle Sam Allardyce's no-nonsense Blackburn Rovers side 4-2 at White Hart Lane.

The shoes fit: Tottenham players wear a variety of different coloured boots

There has been much scorn poured on the multicoloured footwear this week, with traditionalist McCarthy saying: 'How many players who played with me at Barnsley were wearing pink boots? Or yellow boots? Or white boots? Or with earrings in or long hair? You'd have been going down the tunnel and saying, "He's getting it" or "Them two with pink boots are getting it today". It's just the way it would've been.'

But yesterday at least, fleet-footed Spurs weren't fashion victims. They left Big Sam in a black mood!
