Singh Hits Back

Blackburn's global adviser Shebby Singh says that despite newspaper reports, he has not been involved with contract negotiations with players at Ewood Park.

The papers claimed on Tuesday they Singh was involved in contracts and there had been large amounts of cash paid to Portuguese players.

On top of that, the papers also claimed that Rovers will have to shell out £30million for wages and agents fees for 13 players while they are contracted to Blackburn.

But Singh has hit back at the allegations, he told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I have been involved in discussions regarding players and their abilities and potential, but have never been involved in contract negotiations.

"That was not my remit and hence I have no idea about individual player earnings and such."
