Danny Simpson is hoping to earn himself an extended run in the Blackburn first team.[LNB] The 22-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Ewood Park from Manchester United.[LNB]While he has not figured as often as he would have liked this term, he was drafted back into the fold for Rovers' FA Cup clash with Coventry on Saturday.[LNB]He is now hoping to retain his place in the coming weeks, but admits that he may struggle to dislodge experienced Dutchman Andre Ooijer as Sam Allardyce's first choice right-back.[LNB]Simpson said: "I had a good run at the start of the season and I want to play in the Premier League.[LNB]"But the guy who is in my position has won so many caps for his country. He has been around the game for years.[LNB]"He has a lot of experience and with the situation Blackburn are in at the moment the manager is going with him.[LNB]"But I will continue to work hard on the training ground and if Andre gets banned or injured I have got to be ready to step in."[LNB]
