Santa Cruz quiet over future

Roque Santa Cruz has revealed he plans to remain silent until his Blackburn Rovers future is decided. The powerful striker has regularly been quoted as saying he wants to leave Ewood Park in the summer, and a clutch of clubs have been linked with an interest. Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed Santa Cruz will be allowed to depart Blackburn should the club receive an offer that matches their valuation. Santa Cruz, who scored six goals this season, is wary of making any further comments on his future following a recent misunderstanding with Allardyce. "I am going to try to avoid any comment regarding my future," said the Paraguayan during a press conference in Asuncion. "Besides anything that I can say, it's a decision of the officials of Blackburn. I have always been professional with the team." He added: "What I say in Spanish then is misquoted when it is translated to English so I don't want to talk anymore about my future."
