On-loan striker Roque Santa Cruz is being backed to rediscover his scoring instinct at Blackburn. Santa Cruz has returned for a second spell at the club after arriving from Manchester City, where he found himself down the pecking order. The 29-year-old scored 19 league goals in his first season for Blackburn after leaving Bayern Munich and has yet to hit those heights again. However, midfielder Jermaine Jones, who has joined the club on loan from Bundesliga side Schalke, said: "He is a very good striker. Now we are hoping he can score a lot goals for the team and I am confident he will do that. "When I trained with the side for the first time I was alongside Roque and we beat the opposition. I hope we can do that on matchday."
