Sam's Warning To Potential New Owners

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce has warned that any prospective buyers of the club need to be completely sure what they are taking on. Two rival consortiums are considering a takeover bid for the club and Rovers boss Allardyce said buyers should be aware that running a football club is a unique business.  Allardyce said: "You cannot rush anybody into a decision as big as buying a Premier League football club.  "They have to make sure they know exactly what they are getting into. The last thing you would want to face as new owners is by finding out it was not quite what they thought - which could have a massive effect on how the club is developed and could be a down-side rather than an up-side.  "Any new owners need to make sure exactly what they are getting into, exactly what is needed and how the business is run.  "If it's going to happen we hope it happens for the benefit of the club and for me as a manager so that we can get better, stronger and be more successful."
