Samba: We must build on City point

Blackburn skipper Christopher Samba has urged his team-mates not to waste their heroics at Manchester City when they face Fulham on Saturday. Rovers entertain Mark Hughes' side on the back of a battling 1-1 draw at Eastlands last weekend. Samba was one of the stars of the show as the big-spenders needed a Patrick Vieira equaliser to cancel out Niko Kalinic's first-half strike, and he wants to build on that display. He told the club's official website: "The only way the draw against Manchester City was a good point is if we get three points against Fulham. With the experience we have now in the squad, we should be able to manage that. "We have been happy with our performances but disappointed with the results. We have wasted six points against Arsenal and Birmingham, we have been disappointed. "But it isn't about performances, it is about the position in the table and how many points you have got. We want to be winners and get points on the board whatever it takes."
