Samba: Let`s build on Eastlands draw

15 September 2010 02:30
Blackburn defender Chris Samba is hopeful last weekend's 1-1 draw with Manchester City will prove to be the start of a good run of results. Rovers went into the Eastlands clash aiming to avoid a third successive Barclays Premier League defeat for the first time in almost two years under Sam Allardyce following narrow losses to Birmingham and Arsenal. Having preserved that record, Samba is now looking for Blackburn to turn good performances into victories, starting at home to Fulham on Saturday. He told Rovers Player: "It's very encouraging. There's been a massive improvement in our heads since last season. "We finished very strongly last season and we tried to bring that into this season. We knew we played well but we didn't win, and we knew at some point the luck would turn a little bit in our favour. "We've started with a point and now we're looking for nothing but three points from the next game then continue from there."
