Samba fined for speeding

lackburn defender Christopher Samba was fined £120 today for speeding in his Rolls-Royce.[LNB] Samba was clocked driving at 46mph in a 30mph zone.[LNB]He was returning from the club to his home in Stockport, Greater Manchester, at the time of the incident in Blackburn Road, Darwen, on January 17.[LNB]Samba, 26, was also ordered to pay £50 costs and a £15 surcharge by Blackburn magistrates.[LNB]His licence was endorsed with four penalty points.[LNB]The France-born Congo international, who did not attend court, pleaded guilty to the offence.[LNB]In a letter to the court he apologised for his inattention and added that he would be "more diligent in future".[LNB]He was originally summonsed over his failure to identify who was driving his car at the time. Samba said he did not receive the notice but accepted he was behind the wheel.[LNB]
