Looking ahead: Rovers manager Allardyce[LNB]Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce expects Indian company Venky's to complete their takeover of the club in the very near future. [LNB]The poultry giant are in final negotiations with the Rovers hierarchy over a £46million deal to buy the Ewood Park outfit. [LNB]The proposed takeover may have faded from the media agenda since it was first announced last month but Allardyce says it is still very much alive. [LNB]Allardyce said: 'It is not as quiet as everyone thinks it is because it is very close to be being clinched. [LNB]'I spoke to the chairman this morning and the club expects to make an announcement very shortly.'[LNB] Venky's - short for Venkateshwara Hatcheries Group - have so far spoken of setting only modest targets for the club. [LNB]But Allardyce is convinced the deal will be positive for Rovers, who have been run by the Jack Walker Trust since the death of their former benefactor a decade ago. [LNB]'It would be very disappointing if it wasn't somebody that wanted to take over the club and try to improve it as quickly as possible,' Allardyce added. [LNB]'The best way to improve a football club in the early stages is the first-team results. [LNB]'We all know we have been short of a bit of investment in the last few years. [LNB]'Since the trust has tried to sell the club they haven't been willing to fund the sort of transfers needed to keep the club improving. [LNB]'That's put it in danger of maybe being in the throes of selling your best players and threatened with relegation.'[LNB] Big Sam lines up January deal for Paris Saint-Germain full-back MakondaAll the latest Premier League team news ahead of the weekendStandard Liege's £4m-rated striker Tchite being chased by Blackburn Pedersen happy to put Barton punch in past after apology from Toon bad boyBLACKBURN ROVERS FC
