Salgado tipping Rafa for Real move

lackburn's former Real Madrid full-back Michel Salgado believes his old employers may move for Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez this summer.[LNB] The Reds manager, who started his coaching career at Santiago Bernabeu, has been strongly linked with a return to his homeland.[LNB]Real are currently under the guidance of Manuel Pellegrini, but the Chilean has struggled to win over a sceptical Real support.[LNB]He could yet lead the club to the Primera Liga title, but the Spanish giants have previous when it comes to parting with successful bosses.[LNB]Should they decide to bring in a new manager, Benitez is expected to be towards the top of their wish list.[LNB]Salgado, who enjoyed 10 productive years at the Bernabeu before joining Blackburn last summer, feels the Anfield chief would be a success in Spain, but believes Inter Milan's Jose Mourinho would also be in the frame.[LNB]"Could he (Benitez) take charge of Madrid? Why not?" Salgado told The Sun.[LNB]"The opinion on Rafa in Spain is great.[LNB]"He won the league twice with Valencia and got them to two Champions League finals.[LNB]"First let's see if Real can win La Liga. I think, though, it will be a big battle between Benitez and Mourinho."
