Frenchman Louis Saha set the Toffees on their way to three points with a goal either side of half-time before Joseph Yobo added a third for good measure.

The win is Everton's second of the season and lifts them out of the drop zone as they look to be getting their season back on track.

Leighton Baines was the provider for Saha's first as he whipped in a fine free-kick from wide left which the former Manchester United striker latched onto beating Paul Robinson at the near post on 22 minutes.

Saha made it two less than ten minutes into the second period when he rose unchallenged to nod in a Marouane Fellaini cross.

As the home side piled on the pressure with Blackburn rattled, defender Joseph Yobo was on hand to blast home a third from 3 yards four minutes later when substitute Ryan Nelson fluffed his clearance.
