Rovers trial for French starlet

13 July 2009 10:11
Blackburn Rovers have handed a trial to French youngster Alharbi el-Jadeyaoui. The 22-year-old is currently on the books of Ligue 2 outfit Brest. The highly-rated midfielder is set to spend the next week training with Rovers in an effort to catch the eye and earn a permanent switch. His versatility is said to have brought him to Sam Allardyce's attention, with the Blackburn boss keen to add reinforcements to his squad ahead of the 2009/10 campaign. El-Jadeyaoui does still have a year left to run on his current contract at Brest, but that is unlikely to prevent any potential agreement being reached. His current employers are understandably keen to keep him in Brittany, but they accept they would be powerless to prevent a move to England should the player wish to leave.
