Rovers scouts watch Racing's Zigic

Zigic has long been seen by many Premier League clubs as an ideal signing, with many thinking his big frame would be well-suited to the English game.[LNB]The Valencia hitman is currently on loan at Racing Santander until the end of the season, but he looks set to have a number of suitors come June.[LNB]The 28-year-old has shown his class at Racing with five goals in just seven games and he no doubt impressed Rovers' men in the stands on Sunday. Racing drew 1-1 with high-flying Villarreal and Zigic opened the scoring.[LNB]Despite his form, Valencia coach Unai Emery has made it clear that Zigic does not feature in his plans and the club are now openly looking at unloading him as soon as the season is finished.[LNB]Even Valencia's asking price of £8.9million is unlikely to deter potential buyers - given Zigic cost them twice that in 2007.[LNB]"We are open to negotiations," confirmed Valencia's sporting director Fernando Gomez. "We think Zigic could be good in England."[LNB][LNB]
