Rovers return for Hughes in opener

Trips to Fulham and Sunderland follow for Rovers, who then have a testing October which sees them head to Arsenal, entertain Lancashire rivals and new boys Burnley before road games against Chelsea and champions Manchester United. Sam Allardyce returns to Bolton on November 21 while December 5 sees Liverpool visit Ewood Park before a trip to Wigan on Boxing Day. Rovers then head to Manchester City on January 9 and entertain Wigan (January 27) which is followed by a home date with Bolton on February 20 and a trip to Anfield a week later. Chelsea head for Ewood Park on March 20, Rovers then travel to Burnley seven days later before Manchester United come to town on April 10. The final two games of the season see Rovers host Arsenal on May 1 which is followed by a trip to Aston Villa on the final day on May 9.
