Manchester City's efforts to sign Roque Santa Cruz are being hindered after they rejected a request from Blackburn to take Daniel Sturridge as part of the deal.Aston Villa are also interested in Sturridge, 19, but manager Mark Hughes does not want to sell. Sturridge is out of contract in the summer and stalling on a new deal following the signing of Craig Bellamy and the likely arrival of Santa Cruz.Despite City's£15million bid, Rovers want a replacement before letting Santa Cruz go.
