Rovers boss Steve Kean is building up a new look side as he tries to get Rovers out of the Championship at the first time of asking and he sees Cox as someone who could provide Blackburn with an extra boost up front.
Cox has been with the Baggies since 2009 but is now well down the pecking order, a move to Rovers could be the way of kick-starting his career again.
Of course there are other clubs showing an interest, but it’s Kean who is the one tipped to sign the player.
