Blackburn are to open contract negotiations with midfielders Steven Reid and David Dunn. Reid has been at Ewood Park since 2003, while Dunn rejoined the club from Birmingham two-and-a-half years ago. Both players have now entered the final 12 months of their current deals and Blackburn are eager to tie them to extensions. Rovers chairman John Williams, who has already stated his intention to begin talks with winger Morten Gamst Pedersen, expects discussions to begin in the near future. "David and Steven have both got a year left, so we'll sit down and have a chat with them," said Williams. "We've got David, Steven and Morten in that position."
