Rovers dismiss Ronaldinho link

Blackburn owners Venky's have moved to dismiss reports linking the club with a move for AC Milan forward Ronaldinho, describing them as "just rumours". The Brazilian World Cup winner is set to leave the San Siro and Rovers have been reported to be vying with Gremio for his signature. However, Venky's director Venkatesh Rao has rubbished the speculation and told the Lancashire Telegraph: "That is not true. There is no interest at all, they are just rumours." The club's owners are looking to strengthen the squad in the transfer window as they attempt to fulfil their goal of turning Rovers into a top-five team. Manager Steve Kean admits Rovers would be interested in signing David Beckham who appears to be on the brink of a return to the Premier League for a loan spell should Los Angeles Galaxy agree to his release in their off-season. It seems money is not an issue for Venky's and Kean has now submitted to the owners a list of targets he would like to take to Ewood Park.
