Rovers Confirm Bowyer In Until End Of Season

Blackburn have shown that they are in no rush to bring in a new manager by confirming that Gary Bowyer will again take charge of the side, this time until the end of the season.

There has been the usual speculation as to who will be taking over from Michael Appleton who was recently relieved of his duties.

Bowyer was also placed in charge after Henning Berg was sacked in December, he took charge of four games and he must have a good connection with the players after he strung a run of three wins and a draw together.

Once again his assistants will be Terry McPhillips and Tony Grant.

Speaking to the club's official website, Bowyer said: "We will approach the situation exactly as we did previously.

"There is plenty of work to be done and we will treat the challenge very much on a game-to-game basis, starting with Blackpool on Friday.

"We will work hard and give it our best shot and all we ask is that the playing staff and the supporters get right behind the club."
