Rovers chalk up friendly victories
lackburn chalked up a 2-0 victory over Fleetwood Town and won 3-0 at Southport on Saturday as they continued their pre-season preparations.[LNB] Headed goals from Jason Roberts and Steven Nzonzi handed Rovers at win at Fleetwood. Roberts struck early on, stooping to glance home a diving header at the near post.[LNB]N'Zonzi added a second goal for the Premier League team in the closing stages when he was left unmarked 10 yards out.[LNB]And another Rovers XI grabbed a 3-0 win against Southport at Haig Avenue. Pascal Chimbonda, Maceo Rigters and David Dunn - with a terrific 45-yard volley - were on the scoresheet.
