Ronnie Clayton, former England and and Blackburn captain, passes away aged 76
Former England captain Ronnie Clayton has died at the age of 76.[LNB]His former club Blackburn, who he also captained, announced his death and paid respects prior to Saturday's Premier League home match against Chelsea.[LNB]Blackburn chairman John Williams said: 'Everyone at Ewood Park is deeply saddened by the news.[LNB]'Ronnie was not only a wonderful servant and ambassador for the club, he was also one of the most popular men ever to be associated with Rovers.[LNB] Wonderful servant: Clayton played 581 times for Rovers[LNB]'No-one had a bad word for Ronnie and he will be so very sadly missed.
