Robinson should be back as England's No 1 at the World Cup, insists Dunn

Fine form: Rovers keeper Robinson[LNB]David Dunn believes his Blackburn team-mate Paul Robinson deserves an England recall and will be in with a real shout of a World Cup spot if he maintains his current form.   [LNB]Robinson was England's No 1 under Sven-Goran Eriksson and the early part of the Steve McClaren era.   [LNB]But he lost his place after his infamous air kick against Croatia in a Euro 2008 qualifier when failing to connect with a pass from Gary Neville in Zagreb cost his side the second goal in a 2-0 defeat.   [LNB]Current England head coach Fabio Capello has preferred David James and, during his absence through injury, Robert Green between the posts during his two year reign.[LNB]But Dunn feels Robinson deserves another chance to show his quality at international level.   [LNB]The midfielder said: 'Robbo has been in excellent form and I think he deserves an England recall.   [LNB]'If you look around, there are not many better English keepers out there than him. I am sure if he keeps doing what he is doing for Blackburn over the next five months, then he will be in with a real shout for the World Cup.   [LNB]'He has got 40-odd England caps and he is a top keeper. That (air kick) goal is the sort of thing that can happen in football.   [LNB] Rover's return: Dunn (right) reckons Robinson should be England's stopper again[LNB]'Robbo has bounced back really well since then and it shows and takes a lot of character to do that.'[LNB] Dunn is preparing for Tuesday's home Carling Cup semi-final clash with Aston Villa and has vowed to step forward if Rovers win another penalty despite having one saved against the midlands club in Saturday's FA Cup clash.   [LNB]He said: 'Everyone misses penalties. I am sure it is water off a duck's back. It won't bother me too much in terms of when the next one comes along.   [LNB]'The next time I'll want to take it again if we get one. Funnily enough, I actually scored a penalty when we beat Villa at Ewood Park earlier in the season.'[LNB] If Beckham is fit he will be in my World Cup squad, says England boss CapelloEngland are Zin trouble!
