Robins eye move for Goodwillie

31 August 2012 12:53
Bristol City are targeting a move for Blackburn Rovers forward David Goodwillie, according to reports. Blackburn are ready to let Goodwillie move on either on a loan or permanent basis before Friday's transfer deadline. The arrival of Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield has pushed Goodwillie further down the pecking order at Ewood Park and they are open to offers for the Scotland international. Goodwillie joined Blackburn from Dundee United but failed to hold down a regular place in Steve Kean's starting XI. Bristol City boss Derek McInnes is thought to be an admirer of Goodwillie and is ready to bring him to Ashton Gate. They could face competition from Burnley with Eddie Howe in the market for a new striker before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm.
