Robbo heroics deny City

Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson kept Manchester City at bay and left Roberto Mancini's ambitious side having to settle for a 1-1 draw at Eastlands. Having retired from England duty Robinson is intent on doing his best for Rovers and he showed Fabio Capello what he is missing after making a string of superb saves. The only time he was beaten was in the 55th minute when Patrick Vieira equalised for City after Ivan Kalinic had opened the scoring. That effort came following a mix-up between current England goalkeeper Joe Hart and Kolo Toure. But Blackburn failed to pick up Vieira as he broke forward following a one-two with Carlos Tevez and it was a sweet finish by the former Inter Milan and Arsenal midfielder.
