Robbie Savage attempts world record for most football shirts worn

He only ended his career at the end of May, but it seems Robbie Savage has spent the first couple of months of his retirement feasting on pies.[LNB] That is what you would think on first glance anyway.[LNB] I'm No 1! Blackpool provided the 72nd and final shirt - a size 6XL[LNB]In fact the reason why the former Derby midfielder looks like the Michelin man's brother is because he attempted to set a world record for the most number of football shirts worn at one time.[LNB] Savage rivalry: The former Rams midfielder looks more happy in a Nottingham Forest shirt (right) rather than the strip worn by his last club Derby[LNB]The former Welsh international managed to find space to wear shirts from all72 Football League clubs, with strips varying from the modern day skin tight kits to the colour frenzied tops of the early 90s.[LNB] Hard work: The former Manchester United trainee feels the strain with the Leeds shirt[LNB]Speakingafter the event, the 36-year-old joked about former international team mate John Hartson, whilst commenting on the difficulties of the challenge.[LNB]Savage said: 'Itwas really hard and It got really heavy. When I got the 72nd shirt on Iknew what it must have been like to be John Hartson when he played![LNB]'They started off really small and then they got bigger and bigger to the point where you can't even move your arms!'[LNB] Rolling back the years: Savage looks overjoyed with his Leicester shirt from the 90s, while the struggle really starts with Hartlepool's shirt from the same decade[LNB] The world record attempt has yet to be confirmed as Savage's effort is still being verified by authorities.[LNB]Meanwhile, Sportsmail is still trying to figure out where on earth you can get a Blackpool shirt that big.[LNB] How many more?
