That is what you would think on first glance anyway.

I'm No 1! Blackpool provided the 72nd and final shirt - a size 6XL

In fact the reason why the former Derby midfielder looks like the Michelin man's brother is because he attempted to set a world record for the most number of football shirts worn at one time.

Speakingafter the event, the 36-year-old joked about former international team mate John Hartson, whilst commenting on the difficulties of the challenge.

Savage said: 'Itwas really hard and It got really heavy. When I got the 72nd shirt on Iknew what it must have been like to be John Hartson when he played!

'They started off really small and then they got bigger and bigger to the point where you can't even move your arms!'

Rolling back the years: Savage looks overjoyed with his Leicester shirt from the 90s, while the struggle really starts with Hartlepool's shirt from the same decade

The world record attempt has yet to be confirmed as Savage's effort is still being verified by authorities.

Meanwhile, Sportsmail is still trying to figure out where on earth you can get a Blackpool shirt that big.
