Target man: Santa Cruz is now in the sights of Spurs Tottenham have made Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz their top summer target, according to reports in Sunday's tabloid newspapers, as they look to shuffle their strike-force. Manager Harry Redknapp is prepared to spend big to land Santa Cruz, who looked set to go to Manchester City in the January transfer window until Rovers turned down their £17million bid. Blackburn wanted £2m more for the 27-year-old Paraguayan, but City's interest seems to have cooled, paving the way for Tottenham to move in. Redknapp could raise the funds by selling Roman Pavlyuchenko and Darren Bent, who has fallen out of favour despite being Spurs' top scorer this season with 16 goals. Redknapp believes that a strike-force of Santa Cruz, Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe are what he needs to fire Spurs towards the European places after spending much of this season fighting relegation.
