Rangers Fail To Nab Goodwillie
Scottish giants Rangers have had a go but failed to hijack Dundee United striker David Goodwillie's move to Ewood Park. It looked like Rovers had things all tied up on Monday and they looked forward to announcing their new signing, but Rangers stepped in with a late bid, which is their fifth attempt to nab the striker, but failed to tempt him move to Ibrox. Rovers boss Steve Kean wanted to hold face-to-face talks with Goodwillie before pushing through the transfer. And, as he did not return from Hong Kong until Monday morning following Rovers' involvement in the Barclays Asia Trophy, the player is now not expected to undergo a medical and officially put pen-to-paper until Tuesday.
