Queens Park Rangers sign Blackburn midfielder Reid on emergency loan
Blackburn midfielder Steven Reid has joined Coca-Cola Championship promotion chasers QPR on a month's loan. [LNB]Reid missed all of last season with a knee injury, leaving Republic of Ireland boss Giovani Trappatoni to question whether he would ever play again.[LNB]But Rovers' manager Sam Allardyce has stuck by the the 28-year-old and has allowed him to join the Loftus Road club on an emergency loan in a bid to rediscover his match fitness. [LNB]'This is a significant loan signing for the club,' said Rangers manager Jim Magilton. [LNB] 'The fact we have been able to attract a player of Steven's calibre to the club speaks volumes of the board and the direction in which the club is heading.
