Zenit St Petersburg are set to test Luis Garcia's desire to return the Barclays Premier League by offering the Spanish midfielder a lucrative contract. The 31-year-old former Liverpool player has been told he can leave Atletico Madrid and is keen to return to England. He has been offered to Fulham, Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion, while Aston Villa are also said to be interested, but none has so far made a bid. Garcia has one year left on his current deal but has become a bit-part player who Atleti want to shift off their wage bill. Dinamo Moscow are also thought to have held informal talks with the player, but the expected arrival of Spanish boss Juande Ramos at Zenit could tempt him to Petersburg. Former Real Madrid boss Ramos, who had a disastrous spell in charge of Tottenham Hotspur, is understood to be considering an offer to take over from Dick Advocaat, who leaves Zenit to become the Belgium manager at the end of the year.
