Nikola Kalinic Portsmouth manager Paul Hart is trying to revive a bid to sign striker Nikola Kalinic after the Croat opened talks instead with Blackburn and Porto. Hart believed he was close to making Kalinic, 21, his £6.1million replacement for Peter Crouch but the deal broke down over payment terms. Portsmouth are continuing talks to lure Egyptian Amr Zaki on loan and will try again for Cardiff City's £5m-rated Ross McCormack if the new bid for Kalinic fails.
