Pedersen keen to pen Rovers deal
Speculation suggested Pedersen faced an uncertain future at Ewood Park under former boss Paul Ince, with the Norwegian terminating early-December contract discussions as he was not guaranteed first-team football.[LNB]However, Ince was sacked later that month and Allardyce was named successor to the former England captain.[LNB]The one-time Premier League champions remain in the bottom three, but Pedersen has played a part in 10 of Allardyce's 15 games and he has been impressed by his new boss.[LNB]When asked if he would sign a new contract should one be offered, Pedersen told Nordlys: "Of course. I am enjoying myself and Blackburn is a nice club.[LNB]"There has never been any trouble and they have always been supportive. But I haven't received a new offer, yet.[LNB]"I would like to continue to play under Sam Allardyce. He is a very good manager."[LNB]And Pedersen insists that his motivation to put pen-to-paper is based upon a desire to play football, not a possible pay rise.[LNB]Referring to contract negotiations during Ince's tenure, Pedersen added: "I said no. The contract talks were stopped.[LNB]"I ended up in the stands for four or five matches after having played regularly for several years.[LNB]"The situation was not ideal for me. The offer was good financially, but money is not everything, I want to play."[LNB][LNB]
