Former Blackburn midfielder Mark Patterson has returned to Accrington as first-team coach. The 44-year-old, who had a spell at the Crown Ground towards the end of his playing career, will take on the role as a replacement for Pablo Asensio. Patterson has previously been manager of Chorley, Darwen, Leigh RMI and Scarborough. "He's a good lad and he has a lot of experience," manager John Coleman told the Lancashire Telegraph.
