Pascal Wants To Stay At Ewood

Blackburn defender Pascal Chimbonda says that he would be happy to stay at Ewood Park if the club want to sit down and discuss a new contract. Chimbonbda could have become a West Ham United player on transfer deadline day, but the deal fell through, leaving him at Rovers.  And with him being into the final twelve months of his current contract, it is believed that Rovers are willing to discuss new terms with the defender.  "It is true West Ham tried to sign me on transfer deadline day, but Blackburn decided to keep me," Chimbonda told skysports.com.  "The chairman told me I was too important to the team to sell as I can play at right-back, left-back or centre-back.  "I have heard rumours about a new contract and I would be happy to sit down with the club and discuss a new deal to stay at Blackburn."
