Pascal Chimbonda to join Ipswich after turning down QPR move

Tractor boy: French defender Pascal Chimbonda will join Ipswich from Blackburn[LNB] Pascal Chimbonda is set to be reunited with his old boss Paul Jewell at Ipswich after he pulled out of a £500,000 move to QPR.[LNB]The 31-year-old Blackburn defender has been training on his own after manager Steve Kean stood by a decision made by his predecessor Sam Allardyce that Chimbonda has no future at Ewood Park. [LNB]A move to QPR was in place but shelved at the last minute when Jewell made his interest known.[LNB]The new Ipswich boss is keen to work with Chimbonda again despite seeing the player leave Wigan under a cloud five years ago.
