On-loan Villanueva in demand

Carlos Villanueva's future at Blackburn remains unclear after the on-loan forward's parent club revealed they have received two offers for him.The 23-year-old joined Blackburn last summer in a season-long loan move from Chilean side Audax Italiano, but he has failed to make an impact with the Premier League strugglers.Villanueva has made no secret of the fact that he wishes to remain at Ewood Park beyond the end of the current campaign, and Audax Italiano chairman Claudio Tessa has confirmed that remains the case. However, it is uncertain whether Blackburn will accept their option of a permanent three-year deal for the Chile international, who has made only 18 appearances and has scored just two goals. And Tessa claims that a host of anonymous clubs have already shown an interest as Blackburn hesitate, telling La Tercera: "There is a lot of movement around Carlos' situation."We have already received several offers for his transfer. Two of them are concrete, one is from Europe and the other is from another continent."One of them wants to negotiate and arrange everything at once."Our idea is to wait a little bit longer because we know that Carlos has a good reputation. But if something very important appears, we can agree to arrange a deal at once."Carlos' idea is to stay in England. I was with Carlos in February and he told me he wanted to stay in England, but we will see what happens. I suppose he will stay in Europe."[LNB]
