Nzonzi to maintain progress

Blackburn midfielder Steven Nzonzi admits he has been surprised at the speed in which he has settled into a regular first team role but has vowed to carry on improving. The 20-year-old arrived in England as a complete unknown after Sam Allardyce brought him to Ewood Park from French second division side Amiens in the summer. However, he has adapted quickly and is now a regular in central midfield, having played five Barclays Premier League matches and scoring his first goal for the club in Sunday's 6-2 defeat at Arsenal. "I didn't know (he would be playing regularly) when I came but it is good for me," he told Rovers Player. "I hope I will continue to play, to progress every time."
