No Rovers move for Baradji

Blackburn have decided not to pursue their interest in Sekou Baradji but have been linked with a move for Aurelien Capoue. 25-year-old midfielder Baradji, who spent time with Reading and West Ham earlier in his career, currently plies his trade for Naval in Portugal. He has been training with Rovers for the past fortnight but has not quite done enough to be offered a contract and is now considering other options. "The decision was negative from the English club but we do not discard the chance that something else could happen next week," said the player's agent Frank Pesierve. According to rumours in the Portuguese press, Baradji is attracting interest from clubs in France. Nantes midfielder Capoue is rumoured to be on the verge of joining Blackburn and could hold talks with Sam Allardyce later in the week. He admits the prospect of playing in England is very appealing and has hinted there may be developments in the near future. "Everyone is interested in going to the Premier League so let's wait," Capoue told skysports.com. "We will see what happens in the next two to three days."
