No Replay Disappoints Kean

Steve Kean was left a disappointed man after watching his side go from a goal up to lose the game against Newcastle 2-1 and go out of the FA Cup in the third round.

Kean could have really done with a bit of a cup run to maybe try and ease his problems in the hot seat at Ewood Park and when David Goodwillie put Rovers in front, it looked for a while that Kean might have got his wish.

But two late strikes for Newcastle and Kean was left frustrated after losing yet another game.

The Blackburn boss said: "I think the way we played in the first half, we certainly deserved to be up and on reflection maybe we deserved to be up by more than one goal.

"Steven Nzonzi and Petrovic really got tight to Newcastle's midfield two and stopped them from dictating play.

"We are disappointed we never saw the game out and at least forced a replay.
