Blackburn's new owners were introduced the club's fans on Sunday afternoon before the Barclays Premier League clash with Aston Villa. Indian company Venky's completed their purchase of Rovers on Friday for £23million and the poultry giant's directors Venkatesh and Balaji Rao came onto the pitch at Ewood Park to greet the home supporters. They received cheers and warm applause before taking their seats to watch the match. Venky's, a brand nickname for the Venkateshwara Hatcheries group, have also taken on Blackburn's debts, putting the overall value of the deal at £43million. Reports had suggested that Venky's plans for the club could involve rebranding Ewood Park with the name of a sponsor. However, Blackburn say there are currently no plans for their stadium to be renamed.
