Nelsen confident of Ooijer stay
Experienced defender Ooijer looks set to end his three-year stay at Rovers after he confirmed he will return to PSV Eindhoven next season.
However, Nelsen is still hopeful the Dutchman, who netted Rovers' winner versus Tottenham last weekend, could extend his stay at Blackburn.
Nelsen told the Lancashire Telegraph: "If Andre does go, then that would be a great leaving present, but I think he wants to stay.
"He hasn't signed anything with another club. All he's doing is weighing up his options. I know Blackburn would like to keep him.
"The closer we get to safety, maybe he's more likely to stay."
