Moyes defends Cahill
Everton manager David Moyes has defended Tim Cahill after it was claimed he gets off lightly with referees.[LNB] Ahead of their clash with Blackburn on Wednesday, live on Sky Sports 2 and HD2, counterpart Sam Allardyce suggested that the Australia midfielder was lucky to get away with some of his challenges.[LNB]The Rovers chief suggested that Cahill is treated more leniantly than other players by the officials due to his 'clever' play.[LNB]"Tim Cahill uses his body and it's not often he concedes a free-kick, but most of the time we see him playing the man before the ball," said Allardyce.[LNB]"Every player commits fouls. It's whether the referee sees it and sometimes they don't if a player is as clever as he is. [LNB]Assets"It's certainly very difficult to spot from their point of view and the spectator's point of view. But you pick up on it if you have been in the game as long as we have. [LNB]"I'm not saying he's a dirty player. He just uses his assets very well."[LNB]Moyes was quick to defend his own player, insisting that the officials were getting it right.[LNB]"Tim has not got a terrible record on challenges and the referees get it right with him," he said. [LNB]"Tim can take the fight to people but you have to trust referees to make the right decisions."[LNB]
