Mido follows McCarthy to West Ham as former Spurs striker agrees loan deal

Dream move: McCarthy is delighted to be a Hammer[LNB]West Ham have completed the £2.2million signing of Benni McCarthy from Blackburn while Mido has signed on loan for the rest of the campaign.[LNB]Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola boosted his attacking options with the capture of McCarthy and the South African was joined at Upton Park by former Tottenham, and Wigan striker Mido as the transfer deadline approached on Monday.[LNB]Middlesbrough's Egyptian forward Mido had been on loan at Zamalek.[LNB]McCarthy, who could make his debut against Burnley on Saturday after signing a contract until 2012, told the Hammers' official website: 'I am very pleased and extremely happy. This is a great club.
