Martino springs Santa surprise

Blackburn striker Santa Cruz is in the group despite a tendinitis injury which has prevented him training for the past two weeks and he is not expected to play in the Premier League match against West Ham on Saturday. Coach Martino is pessimistic about Santa Cruz playing the upcoming international matches but he will keep him in the squad until he is given the medical report by the staff who have flown to England. "The doctor and the kinesiologist have travelled to England to talk to the club doctor and the player. We have to analyse the situation for these two matches but our main goal is how to continue in the future," the coach said. "The chances of him playing are small but we want to know what will happen in the future, how his injury will be treated and the steps they (Blackburn and Santa Cruz) expect to make."
