LIVE: PREMIER LEAGUE - All the action from Blackburn v Bolton - as it happens

21 February 2010 13:47
Follow all the action from the Lancashire derby as Blackburn host Bolton at Ewood Park. The shadow of Sam Allardyce continues to hang over the Trotters who have struggled to hit the heights they achieved under their former boss. Today is their chance to put one over the Rovers boss and move themselves away from the drop zone. Sportsmail has all the action from 11.45am. [LNB] PREMIER LEAGUE BLACKBURN 1 BOLTON 0 1.10: The news on Ryan Nelsen's injury is encouraging - he's only tweaked his knee and should be back within a week. [LNB]1.06: They're back underway at Ewood.[LNB]1.05: Two changes from the first half. The weather has taken a turn for the worse ... its snowing and the referee Chris Foy has pulled up with a calf injury and is replaced by the fourth official Lee Probert.[LNB]12.48: That's the end of a a lively first 45 minutes. Chances at both ends but it was a direct attack that brought the half's only goal. Rovers worthy of their lead but Bolton look capable of upping the tempo in the second 45. More in a few minutes. [LNB]12.46: We'll have two minutes added on at the end of this half. [LNB]12.43: GOAL! NIKOLA KALINIC via a big deflection puts Rovers in front. A searching pass from Pedersen split the central defenders, Hoilett nodded down to Kalinic whose shot from 16 yards came off Zat Knight's boot and left Jaaskelainen no chance. [LNB]12.42: Great chance for Bolton. Smart counter finds Lee away down the left, his cross found Taylor at the back post but Robinson blocked. [LNB]12.39: SUBSTITUTION - Yep, Nelsen's off, he can't carry on. Paul Robinson gets the skipper's armband and Vince Grella gets his place. [LNB]12.36: It has become a little scrappy now. A bright start has been replaced with misplaced passes and very little action in either box. Nelsen is moving very awkwardly and it looks like he'll have to come off. [LNB]12.32: Injury worry for both sides. Ryan Nelsen looks in agony, holding his right knee, after landing awkwardly and Ricardo Gardner is down after clashing with Steven N'Zonzi. [LNB]12.27: That's a horrible backpass ... woefully short from Gardner which allowed Hoilett in but Jaaskelainen came haring out of his box and arrived at the ball 0.00001 of a second earlier than the Rovers forward to clear. [LNB]12.22: Double chance for Blackburn! Off the line then the post. Junior Hoilett won a corner from which Keith Andrews' glancing header  was blocked by Muamba and Kalinic picked up on the rebound but Jaaskelainen palmed onto the post and the danger was cleared. [LNB]12.17: Chance for Bolton. The lively South Korean Lee jinks into the box and slides a delightfully weighted ball in the the path of Muamba whose shot went horribly executed and flew exactly 1.7 miles over the bar. [LNB] Hot pot: The Lancashire derby has had a lively start[LNB]12.15: The atmosphere at Ewood isn't matching the action on the pitch. As a result you can hear Paul Robinson's booming voice marshalling his defenders. Which consists entirely of shouting AWAY ... AWAY ... etc. [LNB]12.12: The ball's in the back of the net again but Chris Foy has blown for a foul by Matty Taylor so Elmander's strike won't count. [LNB]12.09: It might be early but this game isn't suffering from any early kick-off  blues. Jaaskelainen has just pulled off a fine save to his left from Kalinic's header. He was offside but it was still a fine effort to keep the header out from six yards. [LNB]12.05: GOAL! ... Hang on ... no it isn't. The ball is in the back of the net from Pedersen's throw but no one touched it on the way through. So, as you all know,  you can't score directly from a throw. [LNB]12.00: And we're underway. [LNB]11.58: The teams are out which can only mean we'll have some football for you in a moment. Always a hotly-contested derby but there are quite a few empty seats around the ground. Early kick-off + Live TV coverage = a touch of apathy. [LNB]Blackburn v Bolton - teams Blackburn: Robinson, Salgado, Nelsen, Givet, Olsson, Andrews, Nzonzi, Hoilett, Pedersen, Diouf, Kalinic. Subs: Brown, Dunn, Roberts, Grella, Reid, Di Santo, Chimbonda.[LNB]Bolton: Jaaskelainen, Steinsson, Ricketts, Knight, Robinson, Lee, Muamba, Gardner, Taylor, Elmander, Kevin Davies. Subs: Al Habsi, Mark Davies, Klasnic, Cohen, Andrew O'Brien, Wilshere, Weiss.[LNB]Referee: Chris Foy[LNB]11.55: Right, just ahead of kick-off, we have the team news from Ewood ...   Blackburn have been boosted by David Dunn's return to the substitutes' bench for the clash with Bolton.[LNB]Local-lad Dunn, has been out for the last four weeks with a calf injury, but is fit again, and takes his place among the replacements while Junior Hoilett replaces Brett Emerton after he suffered a minor Achilles problem.[LNB]Owen Coyle named an unchanged Bolton side with Ivan Klasnic returning from a calf problem to start on the bench.[LNB]11.45am: Good morning and welcome to Sportsmail's coverage of the Lancashire derby between Blackburn and Bolton. [LNB]Blackburn's home form is the only thing standing between them and the mire of a relegation dog-fight. [LNB]And they will really fancy their chances against a Bolton side who haven't won at Ewood Park in the last six and have taken just three points from a possible 27 on the road.
